Lift training (Mobile work platforms) – What does the law say?
According to AFS 2006:6 Section 29, a lifting device may only be used by someone who is familiar with the work and who has documented theoretical and practical knowledge for safe use. Employers must have documentation of the employee's theoretical and practical knowledge. The employee must also have the employer's written permission to use a lift. The regulation's comments to Section 29 state that the Swedish standard provides advice on the content for training operators of mobile work platforms. The Swedish standard is SS -ISO 18878:2013 Mobile work platforms – Lift training for operators (drivers).
